Oliver Yang, Principal

Founding attorney Oliver Yang has been counseling and representing business clients throughout Illinois and the United States for over a decade.

He founded Yang Law, LLC with the mission of providing transparent, personalized, and cost-effective legal solutions for enterprises navigating an increasingly intricate commercial landscape. His experience includes advising and representing individuals, start-ups, small to mid-sized businesses, and Fortune 500 companies.

He provides every client with the same nuanced dedication and professionalism, regardless of their size or the complexity of their legal needs.

Background

Oliver earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a Certificate in Intellectual Property. He was an associate editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property during law school.

Before founding Yang Law, Oliver worked at two prominent firms in Chicago, providing various business clients with intellectual property counseling, representation, and litigation services.

Oliver also sits on the Advisory Board and acts as a volunteer attorney for the Chicago-Kent Patent Hub, a pro bono program assisting qualified low-income Illinois inventors and small businesses in receiving counsel and services from licensed patent attorneys. He provides program administration guidance, community outreach, and volunteers his time to assist in filing patent applications for inventors who qualify for pro-bono services.
